It’s funny how the “let’s defund PBS” plan gets reanimated every few years. How long has it been going on? Well, I wrote this piece about Big Bird in the mid-90s (sorry for the pop-up ads on that site, by the way – haven’t switched some of the old stuff over yet). It’s about what would happen to Big Bird if he ever found himself out of a job.
