I’m not going to pretend that I’m sure that this meme hasn’t been done already by someone vastly more hip and with it than I am (case in point: I just found out that "meme" is pronounced "meem" and not "mem," which makes my joke title above pretty lame), but what the hell, let’s do it. What are you working on? Editing TV Squad, a book proposal, making notes for a novel.

    What book are you reading now? Off With Their Heads, an out of print autobiography by legendary Hollywood screenwriter Frances Marion.
    What CD (or album/song on your iPod) have you been listening to a lot lately? An Ennio Morricone compilation, Partridge Family Sound Magazine, Elvis Costello’s Armed Forces, lots of other stuff.
    What was the last thing you watched on TV? A TiVo’d episode of Airline.
    Last movie you saw? How was it? In a theater or on TV? I hardly ever go OUT to the movies. The last DVD I watched was an Italian film called His Secret Life. Pretty good.
    What web site did you visit most recently? Tribe.net
    What web site did you add/delete from your favorites folder recently? An addition – likely some funky little weblog that caught my attention.
    What’s the first site you check in the morning (besides your own or your e-mail!)? Usually eBay.
    What web site is no longer around that you miss? RETRO magazine (roundabouts 1997-2001; once found at retroactive.com)
    What are you working on? Graphic design projects, shlepping to the post office or grocery store, being the computer equivalent of a couch potato — a mouse potato?

  3. What book are you reading now? A few nights ago I picked up David Foster Wallace’s “A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again” in order to prove a point to someone; now I can’t put it down.

    What was the last thing you watched on TV? I’m watching Felicity re-runs on WE right now.
    Last movie you saw? How was it? Went to a screening this afternoon of a documentary called “My Date With Drew”, about a guy who gave himself 30 days to get a date with Drew Barrymore. How was it? You’ll have to wait for my Cinematical review …

Rabbit Redux by John Updike… freaking troubling novel I was supposed to have read when I was younger… unlike The DaVinci Code, which I should have never read… Why is it still on the bestseller list? Is this part of the mystery? Is Opus Dei stealing everyone’s copy?
    What CD (or album/song on your iPod) have you been listening to a lot lately?
    “When the President Talks to God” by Bright Eyes.
    What was the last thing you watched on TV? Major League Baseball All-Star Game… Did you know that this time it counts? The winner gets Lichenstein!
    Last movie you saw? How was it? In a theater or on TV? “The Triplets of Belleville.” It was quite swell.. watched it with my kid because her little asshole playmate abandoned her to go play with someone else. I had that kid whacked today.

    What are you working on? My tan, an invasion plan of Maryland and a cure for Tom Cruise.

  5. What book are you reading now? “The Gospel According To Disney – Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust” – I’m on a hunt for all the Mouse-scandals and trivia that I can find (and is available in the local library for free).
    What CD (or album/song on your iPod) A promotional CD of dinner music (piano and cello) that is played at Disneyland’s Club 33 (a private and exclusive 5-star restaurant (with a full bar) that’s inside the park. That and Barry Manilow’s “2Nights Live” – so I can be in practice if I get picked to sing “Can’t Smile Without You” when I see his show in Vegas in September – A girl with a front row seat can dream, can’t she? 😉
    What was the last thing you watched on TV? “Match Game” on Game Show Network – what ever happened to celebrities with wit?
    Last movie you saw? How was it? War of the Worlds – overall, very entertaining and scary… story problems were no surprise, the original had a better one.

    What web site is no longer around that you miss? can’t think of any – always looking for new stuff.
    What are you working on? A million “haitus projects” (stuff to get done while I’m out of work… house cleaning, organizing, errands more easily done during the week, visits to Disneyland without huge crowds, etc.) only 2 weeks to go before production of “Girlfriends” (UPN sitcom) starts back up….

    What are you working on? Writing my second MONK novel, working on some TV series pitches for meetings this week.

    What CD (or album/song on your iPod) have you been listening to a lot lately? I’ve been listening to a lot of Kanye West, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the new Bruce Springsteen album lately — and I just downloaded the new Audioslave album from Allofmp3.com
    What was the last thing you watched on TV? Battlestar Galactica, in order to be prepared for the new season starting this week.
    Last movie you saw? How was it? The last movie I saw in the theatre was Herbie with the poster above me’s daughter, also known as my niece. It was awful, but Lindsey Lohan looked pretty good.

    What’s the first site you check in the morning (besides your own or your e-mail!)? I’m in a heated race at the moment, so fantasysports.yahoo.com to check on my baseball team.
    What web site is no longer around that you miss? I have to agree with Lee — I really liked Inside and they had great book industry gossip on deals, which I guess is pretty well covered now by blogs.
    What are you working on? A nonfiction book while I’m also doing research for my next novel.
